i have a new favorite macro tool:
Quick Macros 2 beta.
you can define own toolbars (with custom background color) and menus.
in flash i now have a toolbar with buttons like 'preview' and 'close preview'
it also starts flash with my own panelset.
writing scripts in quick macros is easy - the macro for the startup with the panelset, show rulers and show the movie with 100% is:

normally i have to make a few clicks for that, because with my 1600*1200 px screen resolution
flash sometimes is starting without rulers and the movie (depends on its size) is scaled to 175 %.
